In October, a 15-year-old girl from Carinthia reported to the police that she had been sexually assaulted by a 23-year-old man from Salzburg at the beginning of the year. Now, the 23-year-old has been arrested.

As it has recently come to light, the State Criminal Police Office of Carinthia had been conducting an investigation against a 23-year-old man from Salzburg for several months. On October 10th, a 15-year-old girl from the district of Spittal an der Drau filed a report against him. The allegations include that the man forced the girl into engaging in sexual acts and intercourse in a car in January 2023.

“After conducting thorough investigations and inquiries, the 23-year-old was apprehended on December 17th by officers from the State Criminal Police Office of Carinthia and officers from the St. Michael in Lungau Police Department. He was subsequently taken into custody at the Klagenfurt Juvenile Detention Center,” stated the police.

The Salzburg resident vehemently denies the accusations and informed the police that the sexual encounter was consensual.
