A French man got 4 years in prison in Switzerland for luring and exploiting minors into prostitution. He contacted three 15 and 16 years old girls in Mulhouse, France in 2023. He accommodated them in an apartment in the Eaux-Vives district of Geneva, later moving them to the center of Vevey, where the police stopped the business in May 2023.
The girls were not able to move freely and had to had sex with approximately 10 men on weekdays and 15 men on weekends. They worked every day from evening to next morning.
The police investigation started when a mother reported her daughter missing in the spring of 2023. After learning that her child might be involved in prostitution, she alerted the police. The officers quickly found the girls and arrested the French man and his accomplice.
The girls arrived from poor families
According to the police, the underage girls came from poor families. The girls prostituted themselves in Mulhose and later the convicted man and his accomplice moved them to Switzerland.
The girls were lured by the prospect of quick money but received only a fraction of the earnings.
One of the victims even became pregnant and had to have an abortion.
The French man got 4 years in prison and a 1033 EUR fine and 15-year expulsion from Switzerland.
