A violent incident at a sex club in Duisburg’s old town has left a 20-year-old man with life-threatening injuries. The attack occurred early Tuesday morning, around 1:30 a.m., on Vulkanstraße.
According to police, the young man, a Ukrainian national, got into an argument with two on-site security guards. The confrontation quickly escalated, and the two men — aged 35 and 53 — allegedly beat him until he lost consciousness. The victim was found in critical condition.
Quick police response and arrests
Thanks to eyewitnesses who called emergency services and gave clear descriptions, police were able to arrest the suspects later that same night. Both are German citizens.
A judge has since placed the two men in pre-trial detention. They are facing charges of attempted manslaughter and aggravated assault.
The motive behind the attack is still unclear, and a homicide unit is now leading the investigation.
